Weeding presents a limited cassette of Angela Wai Nok Hui's /the plum/ released in collaboration with Danish label Don't Look Back.

‘Staying locked in that little room downstairs, where they leave people there on their own, talking until 4am. Also they give you their food... Instead here I can stay a bit like this, I can also go in the kitchen and cook something...’

Dotted with moments of chaos and tenderness, all of which are subject to Angela's toy box aesthetic, /the plum/ is an ode to Angela's obsession with low-fidelity and generational loss techniques, as well as her and her partner's grandparents, one of whom is featured speaking on the piece in Italian.

A queasy long-form piece that meanders through low-lit jazz, manipulated vocal cries, and dizzying, glassy drones, the Plum comes as a follow-up to 2021's Let Me Tell You Something and acts as a precursor to a forthcoming full-length project with Weeding.
