Run completely by a collective of volunteers and funded entirely by donations from supporters, the Centre provides practical solidarity and support for asylum seekers especially when they face being locked up in detention centres or being forcibly removed. They also support anyone detained in the UK’s Immigration Removal Detention Centres.

about

On Side A, Weeding clear a space amongst the isolation clutter building up for you to lay your head in the still focused winter sun. Shards of voice, lapping loose wires and an avian chorus seep obliquely into your half dream where the organic and the synthetic become one and the same.

Irish born, Glasgow based violist Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh takes over on side B, and things snap back into focus for a groovy trip through abstract reality. The cosmos, modern human history, the imperialist legacy and visions of an impending apocalypse combine for a suite where hope and humour abound.
